I’m enclosing pics of yesterday’s problem.  They explain the 4 hour delay. 

Today we walked around St. Louis. Not really a walking city, but we had a nice breakfast and sat in a really nice sculpture park and saw the arch and walked 6 miles in excruciating heat. Dana almost passed out this morning, I almost passed out this afternoon. 

We just checked our panniers, counted underwear and socks and all of that. Tomorrow will be an early start, 8:10 train to Kansas City. Then a 3 mile bike ride to a hotel. The real riding will start early Saturday.
